With the escalating sovereign debt crisis taking hold of Europe, ICAEW, which represents chartered accountants, will host a discussion with the International Monetary Fund and European Central Bank on lessons from the crisis.
The event will launch ICAEW’s latest publication Sustainable Public Finance: Global Views with Carlo Cottarelli (Director, Fiscal Affairs Department, International Monetary Fund) and Philipp Rother (Head, Fiscal Policies Division, European Central Bank).
The report is a collaboration between ICAEW and some of the world’s leading experts on fiscal policy from both the public and private sectors including the International Monetary Fund (IMF), European Central Bank (ECB), UK Office of Budget Responsibility (OBR), International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), the Swedish National Debt Office and experts from as far afield as New Zealand and Japan.
Lunch will be served.
