FPA Members are invited to tour The London Library, with the chance to see and hear more about some of the treasures of its collection.
Founded in 1841 by Thomas Carlyle, The London Library is the world’s largest independent lending library and a hidden gem at the heart of British cultural life. With more than one million books freely browsable on fifteen miles of open bookstacks, its collection includes books from the 16th century to the present day. While its name frequently sees it confused with the British Library, The London Library is an entirely independent institution and a registered charity now servicing more than 7,000 members across the UK and Europe.
RSVP by close of business Monday 18 June to Aimée Heuzenroeder at aimee@londonlibrary.co.uk or 020 7766 4734
