The Kuwait British Friendship Society was founded in the aftermath of the 1990 invasion of Kuwait to enhance the relationship between the two countries.
It organises 8 round table seminars on issues related to Kuwait and the Gulf as well as an annual banquet in London and a showcase for British industry in Kuwait. It also offers and annual prize of £10,000 to the two best books published in the UK on Arab and Islamic thought.
